John Comer Portrait
Emeritus Professor Political Science

Dr. John Comer is currently working half-time with the University as he is gradually moving toward retirement. He is a co-author of the textbook American Government, which has won awards for its coverage of women and minorities, and Quantitative Methods for Public Administration, which is a user-friendly text in research methods designed for those whose love for political science cause them to avoid undergraduate courses dealing with numbers. He has always been interested in physical fitness and continues playing tennis, and only recently decided it was time to retire from softball. As a grandparent, he now works off a great deal of energy trying to keep up with his five grandchildren.
