Requirements The major in political science requires thirty (30) hours including the following: a) PS 100 (Power and Politics in America) or PS 100H (denoting honors); b) one of the following from the political theory field of study: PS 108, 380, 385, 483, 484 or 485; c) PS 400 (the senior-level capstone course); six (6) hours from three of the following areas of study: American government, politics and law; foreign and comparative government; international relations; political theory; public administration and public policy; and e) at least nine (9) hours at the 400 level.
Students may not take courses in the major pass/no pass except PS 395 (internship).

Requirements A Plan A minor in political science requires eighteen (18) hours including PS 100 and one course at the 400; a Plan B minor requires any twelve (12) hours.
