News Release

The award-winning news division of TelevisaUnivision, Noticias Univision, announces the publication of BSP Research’s largest national polling indicating how eligible US-based Mexican voters view their homeland’s 2024 presidential elections. The polling project was commissioned by leading experts of Mexican elections at the University of Texas, Arlington and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Noticias Univision and BSP Research have partnered to present the findings on Noticias Univision’s YouTube digital channel’s show #HablaConUnivision on Thursday, April 25th at 4 p.m. ET.

Hosted by Noticias Univision’s anchor, Jorge Ramos, the digital event will be open to both the press and public. Ramos will be accompanied by a BSP Research representative who facilitated the polling data, along with experts who will analyze the survey’s findings with unique insight into the political views, engagement, and candidate preferences of Mexican voters living abroad.

Other key findings gauge how Mexicans in the U.S. seek and obtain information about the election, their knowledge of voter registration deadlines, the factors influencing their candidate selection, their opinions on the current president, the level of enthusiasm around current government policies, and more. The survey was conducted in collaboration with Professors Xavier Medina Vidal from the Center for Mexican American Studies at UT Arlington, Sergio C. Wals from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Edward D. Vargas of BSP Research, all leading experts in U.S.-Mexico relations, and the politics of Mexico. The poll’s sample surveyed 600 eligible Mexican voters living across the United States.
