Professor John Gruhl is the 2018 recipient of the Carroll R. McKibbin Distinguished Teaching Award. This is the highest teaching recognition bestowed by the Department of Political Science, and was presented to Professor Gruhl at the departmental banquet attended by faculty, staff, and students. The award is made possible through the generous support of Carroll R. McKibbin, a former chair of UNL’s Political Science Department, and his wife Lynn. Professor Gruhl has been a member of UNL’s political science faculty since 1976 and has received numerous awards for his excellence in teaching. He is the fourth recipient of the McKibbin teaching award.
