Dr. Andrew Goodhart joined the Department of Political Science in the Fall of 2023. His work focuses on international order, societal mobilization, and public opinion about foreign policy. Ongoing research aims to understand right-wing backlash against global governance and the influence of symbolic politics on foreign policy. His work has been published in the American Journal of Political Science and by the Oxford University Press. He also serves as a faculty advisor with UNL’s Intelligence Community Scholar Program.
Dr. Goodhart earned his Ph.D. from Ohio State University. Prior to that, he served as a Defense Strategist, among other civilian roles at the United States Department of Defense.
